I’m so happy to share with you this beautiful review of my recent retreat in Byron Bay, Sanctuary of Self, written by one of our lovely attendees, Cecilie. It was a true honour to hold space for such an incredible group of women, and I’m looking forward to doing it all again next year.

I don’t really know where to start to describe this experience, everything about this retreat was way above my expectations.
I signed up after finding Eleanor on Instagram. I didn’t know what to expect, but let me just say that I am beyond happy about my decision to attend!
Every little detail, from the location, the food, the lectures, even the free time, was well thought through.
I think it would be impossible not to leave the retreat feeling empowered, recharged and full of feminine energy.
Eleanor herself is filled with so much love and warmth, and she sees every single person in the room. She made sure she spent time with all of us and helped us create a sacred space where we all felt safe to share without judgement.
During this retreat Eleanor emphasized the importance of self-love and self-care, she addressed how destroying it is that self-love so often is linked with a feeling of guilt. Even though I was already agreeing with Eleanor about this aspect, I was quite surprised about some of the things learned about myself and my mindset during our days together.
As a health coach, I am the first to preach about the importance of prioritising oneself in order to have anything to give back to others. I found that I am not so good in doing this myself, so some of the tools Eleanor gave us, have been very useful for me.
Self-love is not selfish, it is rather the opposite.
Though I have practiced yoga for many years, the sensual approach was totally new to me. It felt uncomfortable at the beginning, but I felt how empowering this practice could be to help me grow comfortable in my own skin. I am grateful to learn that it is ok to be sensual, and that to be sensual doesn’t necessarily equate to being sexual.
Throughout the practice I felt called to move my body the way I desired. I can be graceful, feminine, sensual or even sexy if I like, it is my body!
Thank you Eleanor for providing me with so many great tools and practices to bring with me home.
After the retreat and our visit to Crystal Castle, I have been obsessed with crystals, and I feel like I now have the tools to use them more efficiently.
I would definitely attend one of Eleanor’s future retreats, and I easily recommend anyone to do the same.
If you are looking for a retreat where you can be in peaceful surroundings, eat delicious, nourishing food, learn about yourself, be in an empowering environment, and grow as a person, Eleanor’s sensual yoga retreat is where you want to be!
